One PFO Occluder can take up to 8 hours to craft by hand, reflecting the care and precision that goes into each device.
Our occluders are crafted with precision: 10% by advanced machinery and 90% by skilled hands, ensuring the perfect blend of technology and craftsmanship in every occluder.
Typically, it takes 25 steps to manufacture one occluder, depending on the complexity of the design and the manufacturing process involved. Each step ensures quality and precision to create the final occluder.
Our production facility employees undergo intense training before they’re accredited to assemble our occluders. The time to fully master each part of the process can vary, with specialized steps like patch sewing and tempering requiring up to a year to perfect.
Several meters of nitinol wire go into making one ASD30 Occluder, which is expertly compressed down to just 45 mm in circumference.
