Occlutech GmbH takes the protection of your personal data very seriously and keeps strictly to the privacy provisions in the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). Personal information is acquired on our website only to the extent essential to the purposes described below.

In the following we explain which kind of data we acquire, if any, for which purpose and how we handle such information.

Collection and processing of personally identifiable information

We collect personally identifiable information via our website (such as names, addresses, phone numbers or e-mail addresses) only when you make such data voluntarily available to us, for instance via our contact form, or have given your consent. All details provided are kept confidential, and will not be passed on, sold or distributed to third parties. Such data are not in any way linked to the access data.

The requirement for consent is clearly set out on the website. You can withdraw this consent at any time with effect for the future. You are, of course, entitled to request at any time for your details to be deleted.

Intended purpose

Personally identifiable information made available by you are generally used for the purposes of answering your questions, processing your orders or granting you access to certain information or offers. To maintain customer relations, it may be necessary for us to continue using your personally identifiable information:

  • to be able to respond to your business needs more effectively and improve our products or services 
  • to provide information about offers to you that you will find useful.

Communication-specific information and usage-related data (access data)

Whenever our website is accessed via telecommunications services, access data are stored in a log file, the server log. The dataset stored in the process contains, inter alia, the following data which are automatically generated software engineering methods:

  • Internet protocol address resp. usage-related information
  • Information about time of the start of use and end of use as well as the telecommunication services used by you
  • Date, time, access status (file found, not found, etc.) and the query made by your browser to the server
  • Data quantity transferred and the name of the site from which access to the queried site was requested (IP address)
  • Individual pages of our website which are accessed by you
  • Product and release information of the browser used (user agent) and the pre-set preferred language.

Such data cannot be assigned to certain persons by Occlutech GmbH.  

We use such data to assess the user appeal of our websites and to improve them in terms of performance and contents.

The data is not merged with any other data sources. Stored data is evaluated for statistical purposes only. It is not shared with third parties for commercial or non-commercial purposes. 

Security of your personally identifiable information

Occlutech GmbH adopts technical and organisational security measures to protect your personally identifiable information against accidental or deliberate manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorized persons. Our technical and organisational security measures are continually adopted to the on-going technological progress.

If you wish to send an e-mail to us, please, note that, due to the technical structures of the Internet, you will have to take arrangements to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of you e-mail contents. To this end, you can use customary encryption software.

If you wish to send an e-mail to us directly from the contact form you should be aware that your data will be transmitted unencrypted and so no guarantee can be given as to the confidentiality und integrity of your e-mail contents.

Disclosure of your data

Occlutech GmbH does not disclose your personally identifiable information to third parties except for processing business transactions. Disclosed data are restricted to the necessary minimum according to the principle of data minimisation. If Occlutech GmbH is obligated legally respectively by court order to disclose your personally identifiable information, such information will be disclosed only to government institutions and authorities entitled to receive information according to the statutory provisions and only for the following purposes:

  • Compliance with laws, regulations, coercive measures at judicial or official request
  • Response to duly authorized information requests of police and governmental authorities
  • Investigation, prevention and taking action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving threats to security or other malicious activities
  • Assertion of rights in legal claims.


Exportation and processing of data in states outside of the European Economic Area

There is no processing of our data outside of Germany. The entire hardware equipment is located in Germany and thus is subject to German data protection laws pursuant to BDSG.

Cookies

Whenever you visit the Web pages of Occlutech GmbH, information in the form of so-called cookies will be stored on your computer.

A cookie is a short dataset that is generated by the Web server through which have established a connection via your Web browser (e.g. Microsoft Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari and Opera) and then sent to your computer. The cookie means that you can be recognized when revisiting the website without having to input the data that you have already entered on a previous visit. You can, however, prevent the storing of cookies on your hard drive by making the appropriate settings in your browser, however, that case it is possible that you will not be able to use all the functions of our website. Cookies are generally distinguished into session cookies and permanent cookies. Session cookies are stored in the working memory (RAM) and automatically deleted at the end of your visit.

Permanent cookies remain on the hard drive of your computer until you delete them or they lose their validity. Cookies do not damage your computer and do not contain any viruses. 

Google Analytics

Our website uses Google Analytics, a Web analysis service of Google Inc. („Google“). The information that the cookie generates about your use of this website (including your IP address) is transferred to and stored on a server operated by Google in the USA. Google will use this information for evaluating your usage of the Website, for compiling reports about the web site activities for the Website operators, and for providing further services in connection with web site usage and Internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. Google will never associate your IP address with any other Google data.

Google has introduced for Google Analytics the function „anonymizeIP()“, for this purpose, the IP address is shortened to the last octet to prevent persons from being identified. Thus, our Website does not store complete IP addresses. Google, in its information about the employed technology (see also: http://www.google.com/analytics), points out that the stored information can be forwarded to third parties where required to do so by law or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf.

Usage of Facebook plugins

We do not used any services of Facebook Inc.

Right to demand information

You have, at any time, the right to gain knowledge of the data stored concerning your person, the origin and the recipient of the data as well as the purpose of processing of the data. You have, at any time, also the right to request the rectification or deletion of your data, unless such data may not be deleted for statutory document retention requirements.
